This is exacty the dynamic of our relationship too woth my partner of 3 years. He holds a 'dirty laundry' lisy for all things I've done and does not want to let it go. I realise my mistakes and how my words hurt him, I'm deeply remorseful but it does take him ages to come back to me and be close again. It's excruciating of how my BPD impacts our relationship.
