Re: Share a cuppa?

Happy birthday to Mr Shaz for yesterday @Shaz51 πŸ₯³πŸ˜€

sounds like a lovely time with family β˜ΊοΈπŸ’œ

I hope the new changes and insulin 2x a day helps things stay as well as possible for you β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ™‚

And I really hope that dialysis is still a ways off, and your kidney can stabilise as much as possible πŸŒΊπŸ’œ

Your weather is the opposite of here - it was hot, now it looks like there’ll be some drops to cool it down soon 🌧️

Gardening sounds nice, with the bonus finding some cute little stick insects πŸ™‚πŸŒΏ

Im doing ok thanks @Shaz51 ☺️🌺

went to GP today, regular pathology tests just to monitor coming up she said.
Sometimes, it’s a little niggling worry, but I do my best to look at all the lovely positive things that I can find to balance out, and try to prevent overwhelm β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ™‚

Being here has been really nice, and has contributed greatly to feeling more positive β˜ΊοΈπŸ™ŒπŸ»

Sorry if I’ve forgotten some tags for my new friends here - I’m still a bit learning how to do posts like a seasoned professional hehe πŸ€πŸ’œ

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hugs @Former-Member

I have lots of highs in my blood tests results,  they say it is hard to get the right balance with everything

But like you said the forum helps -- it sure does xx

Re: Share a cuppa?

Omg I love stick insects @Shaz51 that's soooo cool!! Lucky ducky you are to find them!

I have so many bugs and lil gecko friends in my garden. I like to let it get really overgrown - it's way better for the environment! But alas, I have an inspection coming up so I gotta mow it all back, which always makes me sad. Stupid real estate agents! Lol.

Happy bday for Mr Shaz! Sounds like a lovely day for him.

Fingers crossed the insulin helps you! Would definitely be good to postpone dialysis πŸ€ž

Frustrating about the chemist @Oaktree glad it got sorted! So whacky how those little details can derail your afternoon hey! Hope your evening is less frought with frustration haha.

@Former-Member overwhelm can be tough to contend with but sounds like you're taking it in your stride, good on you!

πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ Love to you all

Big hugs right back to you @Shaz51 πŸ€—β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

I’m really sorry to hear it’s hard to get the levels right from the blood tests β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ˜”

I wish I didn’t get sick..I was on the live donor list because I (was) a universal donor - liver and kidney - and I still feel bad I can’t give anymore πŸ˜•

I went through to being matched with a recipient, then they found I needed some more tests..

I really hope things stabilise for youπŸŒΊπŸ’œ

Re: Share a cuppa?

Thank you my @Jynx πŸ™‚

Yes it is tricky @Former-Member , Mr shaz wants to be my kidney donor , but he has a different blood type but they can treat his blood to be complatable with mine which is good πŸ‘

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hey there @Jynx  and @Oaktree

πŸ™‚πŸŒΊ

Meggle I hope things feel a bit better now the chemist is sorted out πŸŒΊπŸ’œ

it’s frustrating when needing medication for a length of time - I think there are many considerations like finances, appointments, fatigue, resources, etc, that mostly goes under the radar when it comes to people with ongoing health concerns, that aren’t known by lots of different support services or health related industries. However, self advocacy goes a very long way, when able to do so, I think πŸ™ŒπŸ»β˜ΊοΈπŸŒΊ

Thanks heaps @Jynx - it’s a conscious effort, to try to balance how things may land, but I think it’s worth it πŸ™‚πŸŒΊ

Re: Share a cuppa?

@Shaz51 , that sounds wonderful of Mr Shaz 😍

And very excellent that medical technology can treat blood to ensure compatibility - that is very heartwarming to read πŸ’œπŸ™‚

Hopefully that is a ways down the track, and the new plan works well πŸ™‚
