Re: Managing physical pain
@The-red-centaur I don’t know if you are on pain meds or not, but some find them helpful.
I live with RA and OA, so I do understand the huge impact pain has on MH.
I try heat packs, a warm shower and rest.
I have heard a lot of people say whether affects pain, so being colder now won’t be helping. I don’t really know if that’s how it is with me. Something somewhere is painful, most or all of the time.
What have you tried?

Re: Managing physical pain
I slept through it. When it got really bad and too painful to cope, I fainted. Sometimes a few times in a day. I am not sure how but I managed to juggle with daily needs regardless. Daily hygiene, preparing meals, work from home and all. But I did.
I went through a period of confusions and didn't think I would survive, but somehow I did.
Still belive physical pain is not for human. Abuse is definitely inhumane.
Hope you get well soon. 🙂

Re: Managing physical pain
Yep @The-red-centaur
from me.
Staying active through winter has really improved my experience of pain. For a while I succumbed to winter cold and started shrinking inside myself and feeling it more and more.
It was a gradual improvement as it started with a type of volunterering that meant I was out of doors regularly (zoo), but not too regularly, as I was honestly not up for that. It was good as there was lots to learn which was distracting and kept me going. A few afternoons a month thru 2 winters made enough of a difference for my son to notice as my mood was lifting, then adding little things like @outlander bedsocks, and movies, have meant that I am not dreading this winter. I am getting out in as much sun as I can, and when the chill really hits I will try and look after myself.
Yes and all the things the others mentioned. @Maggie @Lilaca
@Owlunar has probably a few hints ...
